ABOUT YOUR INNKEEPERS
I've lived in Las Vegas all my life, and have been a successful entrepreneur. I started my first manufacturing company when I was 21years old. Since then I've started a commercial/institutional kitchen equipment service and parts business, and a commercial printing company, and have been nominated twice and won The State of Nevada Small Business Person of the Year Award. The key to our success is based on a simple rule, and making it company policy "Due unto others as you would have others due unto you". Although business is in my blood, a quiet country life has always been my heart.

I enlisted in the U.S. Army at 18 while attending Southwestern in San Diego, CA., and served in Vietnam during the height of the war. I am proud to live in America, and hold strong beliefs in our duty to support our country. I was assigned to bases throughout Europe and Asia. In the 1980's I was assigned to the United States Central Command and reported directly to General Robert C. Kingston. During that time, I made numerous trips with him to the Middle East. After serving 20 years, I retired from the Army while living in Las Vegas. Having traveled the world, I was anxious to settle down in a nice quiet small town with beautiful surroundings.

We met through close friends, married two months later, and raised three sons. We watched with pride as the eldest married, and with unbelievable joy as he and his beautiful wife gave us a granddaughter. While they learned the business, we were busy planning our retirement in Northern Idaho. When the opportunity finally came, we looked hard and finally found our "dream home". While moving in we both agreed this was the perfect home
to share with others and opened the "Ponderosa Lodge Bed and Breakfast". So much for retirement.....
